I know there are some die-hard Blogger fans out there, so I wanted to offer a tutorial on how to add Google Analytics to your Blogger blog. I really think if you want to make money with your blog, you should move to Word Press, but I won’t bug you about that too much. :) The instructions are UNDER each screen shot, and you can click on any of them to make them larger.
Head over to http://google.com/analytics.
Click add new account – or create a new account if you don’t already have Google Analytics on another blog.
After completing the sign up process, you will be presented with a code. You need to copy the code and paste it into the HTML section of your blog. This is where most people have a problem, so the following screen shots will walk you through the process.
Log into Blogger and click “Design”.
Once in the Design area, click “Edit HTML”.
First, download your template and save it to your computer just in case something goes wrong. You don’t want to lose everything you’ve edited on your blog. Find the ending head tag by holding CTRL and F. A search box will pop up so you can find it. Then head back over to Google Analytics and copy the code. Paste it right above the ending head tag (see screenshot above). Then click “Save Template”.
Hop back over to Google Analytics and click “Save” at the very bottom of the page. Then you should see a green button at top that says “SUCCESS”. That means you did it right! :) Congrats!

This was VERY helpful. But…I changed my blog name since I’ve set me google analytics up. How do you change it on there?? My URL is the same, all i did was change it.

I don’t think you’ll need to change the blog name on GA, though you could uninstall and reinstall if you had to – but then your stats would start over, I believe.
