You started a business, but it’s not going anywhere. Your blog isn’t as successful as you’d like it to be.
What is holding you back?
Why aren’t you living the life of your dreams?
What is stopping you from reaching your goals?
I have 3 kids to take care of. I don’t have any time. I have writer’s block. I don’t have enough money to invest in fancy equipment. I don’t have any technical knowledge whatsoever and I get frustrated when I try to fix something on my blog and it breaks everything! I don’t have an artistic bone in my body. I don’t, I can’t, I won’t… yeah, I could go on and on! We all could, right?
Okay, now that we’ve gotten the excuses out of the way, let’s talk about inspiration. Quotes like these always help me stop throwing myself a pity party. They help me realize that my situation isn’t as unique as I’d like to think, and just because I’ve failed a thousand times in the past doesn’t mean I will fail again – and if I do, that is okay! Fall down 7 times, pick yourself up 8. We all need to hear that from time to time.
Nothing can hold you back unless you let it. You have the same 24 hours in each day as everyone else does. As every inventor, millionaire, and billionaire does.. We all have the same 24 hours. What we do with it is up to us.
Very rarely is someone handed a million dollars. Every excuse you have, just drop it now. Why do I think you’re full of crap? Because I am, too!

I use those same excuses all the time. I think that using quotes is a great way to keep oneself motivated.
Favorite quote – Got something you need to have done? Ask a busy person! I laugh when people tell me how I’m superwoman cause I get so much done. They could do it too if they just try. And they don’t see all the stuff I don’t get accomplished lol…. Great inspiration!
“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.” -Dale Carnegie

I just kept going from one thing to another when younger, and there was always another! I stopped because my husband said he just wished I’d sit for one minute… and well, that one minute turned to 2, then 3, then more. And I found I kind of liked the down time… wrong, I should have just kept going because now I will never catch up! (smile)

I love this!! I needed it today. It has been a slow week this week for me!
Great post and the other day I had an aw ha moment when I realized ‘The only person that is getting in my way is me! I just stepped out and took a chance and it really paid off for me. At the time I didn’t know how I could afford to do it but as it turned out, I couldn’t afford not to do it.

Grace, that happens so often and we don’t even realize it! Instead of saying “I don’t know how I can afford to do this”, we need to think “I can’t afford NOT to do it!”.
I use those excuses when it is something I don’t want to do. lol. Really I just need to get off my lazy rear end and get to work, and then you’d be amazed at all the things you can accomplish!

I love, love, love this post. The last quote is on a coffee mug I got from the Underground Railroad Museum in Cincinnati, Ohio – What would you do if you could not fail? I drink out of it sometimes just so I can ask myself the question repeatedly. I need to print this one and tape it…well…everywhere!
